National park KORNATI
The Kornati archipelago, a group of 150 islands, is most indented and densest island group in the European Mediterranean. Islands are named after cliffs on the outer row and specific geological forms resembling the crown at the cliffs of the islands. So in fact Kornati are "Crowned islands".
Because of its exceptional landscape beauty, various karst phenomena, endemic flora, fish spawning sites, ornithological community of sea birds and the specific role of man in the formation of this unique phenomenon Kornati Islands were declared a national park in 1980. Kornati National Park is a paradise for boaters, divers, hikers and gourmands who can enjoy the sea specialties offered by Kornati numerous restaurants and taverns.


National park KRKA WATERFALLS
From its spring, Krčica falls under the Dinara mountains, to estuary near Skradin, Krka river has abundant beauty. With its seven travertine waterfalls, Krka is a natural and karst phenomenon, and the 2/3 of Krka flow was declared Nacional park in 1985.
Among many waterfalls, most impressive and most visited are Skradinski Buk and Roski Slap. On its way towards the sea between Roski slap and Skradinski buk, Krka river forms elongated Visovac lake. In the middle of this lake stands an islet Visovac considered one of the most important natural and cultural values of Republic Croatia. The unique beauty of Krka National Park can be seen in pleasant walk along paths and bridges as well as in organized excursions by boat.


National park PAKLENICA
After Plitvice Lakes our oldest National Park, established in 1949. Beside wide variety of mountain karst geomorphology, specific flora and fauna, Park is particulary characterized by 2 deep canyons of Velika and Mala Paklenica, giant vertical cliffs, the most impressive one called Anica kuk, 712 m high, having more than 400 points to climb, the biggest challenge for climbers.
Park abounds in many protected plant and animal species, which in combination with climbing activities attracts thousands of hikers and rock climbers annually.


National park PLITVICKA JEZERA
Our largest and oldest national park forms a series of sixteen larger terraced lakes and several smaller ones separated by travertine barriers. All lakes were formed in a completely natural way, in the process of deposition and growth of travertine, which is main characteristics of the Plitvice Lakes. This magnificent work of nature is one of the greatest natural attractions in Europe so in 1979. it was added to World Heritage List (UNESCO) as one among the first in the world.
More of 800.000 visitors annually are attracted to Plitvice Lakes it receives almost two million visitors annually which attracts some 800000 international visitors every year.
